He teaches Clinical Chemistry (Chemical Pathology), Research Methods and Medical Laboratory Science ethics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has supervised several undergraduate and post graduate (MSc and PhD) students.
Professor Emokpae had worked as Medical Laboratory Scientist at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, where he rose to the position of Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist before he transferred his service to University of Benin. His research areas focus mainly on Clinical Biochemistry with particular emphasis on Reproductive health studies, Sickle cell nephropathy and Human nutrition. His over 140 publications in peer reviewed journals and 3 book chapters contain data and analysis of the oxidative stress, burden, causes of infertility and the urgent needs to improve diagnosis and treatment of this public health issue. Nneka R. Agbakoba is a Professor of Medical Microbiology in the Dept. of Medical Laboratory Science, College of Health Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. She obtained her B.Sc. Microbiology from the University of Ibadan, her M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and her Ph.D from the University of Ibadan. Professionally she is a Fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (FMLSCN) in Bacteriology. She is also a Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (FWAPCMLS) – Faculty of Bacteriology.
As a medical microbiologist, she has researched extensively in the areas of mycoplasmology, microbial diagnosis, molecular biology, human microbiome and probiotics. She has published widely in these areas as co-author of several original papers and is also a reviewer for a number of top journals. She has attended many international conferences/workshops with papers presented.

Prof Ifeoma B. Enweani lecturers in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. Her research interests include elucidating various alterations in gene expression of some pathogenic yeasts, fungi, bacteria isolated from humans, fomites, the environment and sequencing of human microbiome. She had postdoctoral fellowship training in Humboldt Universitat, Berlin, Germany.
She is a recipient of Research for Women in Science Fellowship at the Carlos Institute of Health III, Madrid, Spain. She was a former ambassador for the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). She is a motivator, mentor, teacher and a researcher. Dr Nancy Chiatogu Ibeh presently holds an academic position as Reader in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Faculty of Health Science & Technology, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nnewi, Anambra State. She started her career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and rose to the rank of chief Medical Laboratory Scientist before making a switch to academia. Godwin Avwioro is a Professor of Histochemistry and Histopathology at Delta State University, Nigeria and Visiting Professor to Babcock University.
